Call Spoofing Warning From the Geauga County Offices 440-285-2222

A Geauga County resident reported receiving a suspicious call which appeared on his caller id to be emanating from the Geauga County government offices (440-285-2222). The caller told the resident that he owed money and that a lien would be placed on his property and bank accounts. He was instructed to call a Texas based phone number.

The matter has been turned over to the Geauga County Prosecutor and law enforcement.
