The Geauga County Clerk of Courts legal office is responsible for keeping all records pertaining to the Court of Common Pleas and the Eleventh District Court of Appeals. This office also files notary certificates.

Auto Title Office - The Auto Title Office provides titling services for automobiles, trailers over 4,000 lbs., motor homes, manufactured homes, watercraft, and APVs.This office also processes passport applications.

Passport Processing - This web page will answer the most common questions regarding passport applications and will provide information regarding the passport application service offered by the Geauga County Clerk of Courts.
The Geauga County Clerk of Courts offices provide a wide variety of services to the public. The Geauga County Clerk of Courts of Common Pleas legal office is located on the third floor of the main courthouse, 100 Short Court, Chardon, Ohio 44024. This office processes all cases for Common Pleas Court, Civil and Criminal Divisions. In addition, we process passport applications, record notaries, record judgment liens, issue warrants and summons, process bonds, maintain jury records, issue service, record and collect court costs, and disburse costs to other local, county and state agencies.
When paying court costs in person, cash, check payable to: Clerk of Courts, or credit cards (MasterCard or Visa) are accepted. As of April 5, 2010, a 4% fee will be assessed to all Credit Card customers pursuant to O.R.C. 301.28(A).
When paying court costs by mail, please pay by check or money order only.
